Day 69: Capt Destructo

Ava (aka Capt Destructo) was the last one to touch my point and shoot camera and now it is broken. I apologize for the lack of pictures, but I don't like to carry around the big camera.

Day 67: Arts and Crafts

The girls found a bracelet making kit in the playroom closet.  There was an odd assortment of letters in the kit, but I think the kids were pretty creative in their final selections.

Day 66: Early birthday present

I let Ava open a birthday box that had been sitting around the house for a few days.  Inside was a gigantic pop up princess tent. This thing is 5'x5'x5' and easily sleeps our Army.  Thank goodness it folds down into a little square or I would be plotting my revenge on her Godfather, Mark.

Day 65: We will miss you

It was great having Katie around to help out for the week. She was fantastic with the kids. As you can see in the picture, they are already upset that she is leaving. Gabe is melting down, Casey is frowning, and Ava refused to be in the picture.  Please come back next summer!

Day 59: Inside Fun

Of course the one day that I don't have to work is the day that it rains.  We tried to do the beach in the morning while the tides were low and it was just sprinkling, but it quickly changed to pouring down rain.  By the time the weather was going to clear out, the tides were going to be too high to enjoy the beach, so we headed down to Wilmington to have some fun.  We went to the Children's museum.  Last time I was there Elizabeth was 3, Ava was Gabe's age, and Casey still hanging out in my belly.

P.S. I think Ava damaged at least one of her front teeth when she took a header off her bike. I noticed one turning yellow. At least it is still a baby tooth.
